Welcome to Saint Mary’s Coptic Orthodox College
Founded in 1991, our College was established to provide an education deeply rooted in Christ and His teachings. From the very beginning, our mission has been to nurture students in a safe and loving Coptic Orthodox environment where faith, identity, and language remain at the heart of college life.
Staying true to our foundations
Since opening our doors, we have remained faithful to the principles upon which St Mary’s Coptic Orthodox College (SMCO) was built. We work to create a positive atmosphere where every student, regardless of background or circumstance, can grow in knowledge, faith, and character. At SMCO, personal integrity, respect for others, and a spirit of inclusiveness are hallmarks of our community.

Nurturing God-given potential
We believe each student is a unique creation of God, entrusted with gifts and talents to be cultivated. Our role is to guide students in discovering their purpose, encouraging self-respect, initiative, and resilience, while fostering a strong sense of belonging to family, community, and the world around them. In doing so, we prepare young people to become compassionate and honourable citizens who live with integrity.
